To achieve overall health and balance we have to address the three planes of our being: body, mind and how we relate to this life (emotions). This retreat offers a unique opportunity to work on these planes in a consistent and balanced way. We will start our days with asana practice, where you will get a chance to move through creative sequences in an intelligent way based on alignment, breath work and awareness. Afternoon workshops will offer a possibility to learn technique (arm balances, going upside down!) and philosophy of yoga, while evening session will be all about meditation, emotional release, calming down and finding inner peace.

LOCATION: Set in a lush green area of McDonald valley, adjoining the Yengo National park, this retreat place offers scenic views, crystal clear air and tranquility of the nature. The facility is set on 38 acres of land with a common area, open air verandas, dining/lounge area and a swimming pool.

ACCOMMODATION: Shared bedrooms with 2-3 beds and one room with 5 beds. 2 bedrooms are with ensuite and the rest are with shared bathrooms. 2 bell tents with 2 single beds in each are available. For single occupancy and bell tents an extra charge is involved.

SCHEDULE:

Friday, March 30th:
3pm Welcome circle, intention setting
4pm Check-in
6pm Dinner
8pm Meditation (60 minutes) with Kelsey. We will start with seated pranayama breathing practice, followed by reclined yoga nidra, a deep relaxation and meditation practice to release tensions and anxieties you may be carrying from daily life.

Saturday, March 31st:
7am Yoga (90 minutes) with Kelsey
9am Breakfast
11am Workshop (90 minutes) with Madina “Arm balances”.
In this workshop we will look at what makes an arm balance steady, light and strong. You will get to try various arm balances from crow to handstand.
1pm Lunch
2-6pm  Time for exploring the bush, swimming, kayaking, reading, journaling.
6pm Dinner
8pm Kirtan - mantra chanting (60 minutes) with Madina. Activate your throat chakra (energy centre) and repeat the sacred mantras, sing along or just enjoy the sound vibrations. This will be accompanied by a harmonium.

Sunday, April 1st:
7am Yoga (90 minutes) with Madina
9am Breakfast
1pm Lunch
2-6pm Time for exploring the bush, kayaking, swimming or yoga therapy sessions with Kelsey.
6pm Dinner
8pm “Emotional release” - guided meditation by Madina
Is there something (big or small) that holds you back, worries you or makes you anxious? In this session you will get a chance to finally acknowledge this emotion, embrace it and finally free yourself by letting go of it. Madina will guide you through a relaxation and a meditation that will make you feel lighter and easier.

Monday, April 2nd:
7am Yoga (90 minutes) with Kelsey
9am Breakfast
11am Workshop (60 minutes) with Kelsey “Yogic Philosophy”
In this workshop, we’ll delve into some of the deeper topics of bringing your yoga practice into daily living.  Suggested tips, lifestyle changes and mental shifts from the yogic texts on how to live harmoniously and with contentment.
